Inspectre is a property compliance and safety management platform created by two experienced gas engineers. They identified a gap in the market for an affordable, easy-to-use system that helps property owners, landlords and letting agencies manage legally required gas and electrical safety certificates, along with related property services. Unlike traditional, expensive and manual systems, Inspectre focuses on automation, streamlined communication and reliable compliance management.

The challenge

Landlords and letting agencies face ongoing challenges in managing gas and electrical safety certificates, ensuring compliance and coordinating engineers across multiple properties. Existing solutions were costly, fragmented and lacked tools for seamless communication between property managers, engineers, landlords and tenants. Inspectre needed a secure, scalable system that could:

• Allow property managers to book engineers quickly and fairly.
• Automate the distribution of certificates, invoices and reports.
• Provide engineers with all visit and property history details.
• Enable easy quoting, revisit management and tenant notifications.
• Consolidate data into useful reports for both agents and Inspectre’s own KPIs.

The solution

Hero developed a white-labelled Software-as-a-Service platform, delivered as a shared web interface accessible via desktop, tablet or mobile. The system was designed around the needs of all stakeholders—property managers, landlords, tenants, engineers and partner firms. Key features include:

• Automated Workflows: Handling bookings, revisits, recalls and certificate generation with automated notifications to landlords and tenants.
• Financial Integration: Securing card payments for property owners and invoice workflows for agencies, with Stripe integration for payment management.
• Security & Reliability: Featuring strict security measures, data backup routines and user-specific permissions to protect sensitive property and compliance data.
